Beauties, there’s something I always used to struggle with…finding a comfortable bra to wear with tops that have areas of exposure. I have tried different types of bras for different occasions so I can ‘comfortably’ wear such tops, rompers and dresses. Unfortunately, the comfort is short lived, especially anything adhesive related in the hot summer sun — that’s all I’m going to say on that subject.
Perhaps I wasn’t confident enough but this year, I decided to branch into bralettes and the day these photos were taken, I decided “HEY I really like this top, bralettes are comfy, let’s just wing it and see what happens”. Not only was I comfortable and cool (*giggle*) but I loved the little peaks of lace the bralette exposed in the back of this split top.
I’ve done this with another top or two prior, but I still hadn’t plucked up the courage to wear this particular top. Granted the top was $2 from Forever 21, and it’s one of those ‘we’ll see and make it work’ purchases. Well, I saw and I conquered! I’m a dork, we all know this.
I have purchased a LARGE number of bralettes from Primark, Target and Nordstrom Rack throughout the summer and use them as pops of color or if they match a top I plan to wear, that works too!
I am definitely on the exposed bralette bandwagon and am loving it. It’s great for the summer. Also for those who cannot fit comfortable backless bras to wear with potential confidence booster tops or just to keep cool during the hot summer days.
A moment of nostalgia: I just want to say thank you to you beauties for following me on this ‘new’ journey on the blog. This year has been a year of many trials and continues to be, but one of my favorite things to do is write posts I hope will inspire you, and if they don’t I hope they are at least relatable, and if they aren’t I at least hope I give you a few laughs(!) It might seem silly, but it means a lot that you follow along and have even made it this far into the post, even if you’re skim (I’m a fellow skimmer, I understand). I adore you beauties, and hope you continue to follow this quirky wanderlust journey!
